Residents are taxed on income earned in Serbia and abroad; salary and self-employment income are taxed at a flat rate, while capital income, capital gains, royalties and property income have their own rates. Non-residents are taxed on Serbian-source income. Registered entrepreneurs may elect to pay a flat-rate tax on a lump-sum income set by the tax authority instead of on actual income.
