- Valid foreign passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate if your name changed, and six colour photographs 35 x 45 mm.

Ethnic Armenians by descent can acquire Armenian citizenship without the three-year residence and Armenian-language conditions that apply to other applicants. Since 1 January 2026 applications are filed through the mcs-citizenship.am electronic system, the state fee is AMD 50,000 (≈ $140) and decisions take up to 90 working days after registration. 1 2
