Law 109/2025/QH15 on Personal Income Tax (adopted 10 December 2025) takes effect on 1 July 2026; its rules on business income and on employment income of resident individuals, including the new 5% to 35% five-band scale (bands at VND 120, 360, 720 and 1,200 million a year) and the personal deduction of VND 15.5 million a month (VND 6.2 million per dependant), apply from the 2026 tax period (article 29).
