Act 72/2022 added Section 7(2)(j): an applicant with permitted residence in Slovakia who was never a Slovak citizen and has a parent, grandparent or great-grandparent who was a Czechoslovak citizen born in Slovakia may be granted citizenship without the eight years of permanent residence

Act 72/2022 added Section 7(2)(j): an applicant with permitted residence in Slovakia who was never a Slovak citizen and has a parent, grandparent or great-grandparent who was a Czechoslovak citizen born in Slovakia may be granted citizenship without the eight years of permanent residence; the language test is waived for them.
