### Spain: Digital nomad visa

The page gives about EUR 28,000 (around EUR 2,333 a month) as three times the healthcare-exemption level. Official: The rule is three times the income level that exempts from health-service cost sharing. The Italian Embassy in Washington's 2026 checklist states EUR 24,789, the 2024 value, and publishes no later figure. Remote employees also need contract pay of at least EUR 33,000 per the same checklist. - [Portugal](https://settleanywhere.com/countries/portugal/), [D8 nomad visa](https://settleanywhere.com/countries/portugal/d8-remote-work-residence/): The official sources we cite for the D8 set EUR 3,680 a month for the applicant and give no separate amount for a spouse or child. Family members can apply for family reunification; for minor or dependent children there is no wait.
- [Thailand](https://settleanywhere.com/countries/thailand/), [LTR · Work-from-Thailand](https://settleanywhere.com/countries/thailand/ltr-work-from-thailand/): The income test of USD 80,000 a year is for the LTR holder; the official criteria add no income amount for dependants. A legitimate spouse and children under 20, up to 4 dependants, can join. Each dependant needs health insurance of USD 50,000, social-security cover or an extra USD 25,000 deposit held for 12 months.
- [Italy](https://settleanywhere.com/countries/italy/), [Digital nomad visa](https://settleanywhere.com/countries/italy/digital-nomad-remote-worker/): The Washington checklist states EUR 24,789 a year for the applicant and gives no household figure. A spouse and children under 18 can be sponsored through family reunification under Art. 29 of Legislative Decree 286/1998.

The official page gives no separate income amount for a spouse or child; each needs private medical insurance with at least JPY 10,000,000 treatment cover.

A spouse can apply for the E31B family visa and a child for the E31E family visa.
- [United Arab Emirates](https://settleanywhere.com/countries/united-arab-emirates/), [Virtual Work Visa](https://settleanywhere.com/countries/united-arab-emirates/virtual-work-visa/): The income test is USD 3,500 a month for the applicant, and the official page gives no household figure. Expatriate residents can sponsor a spouse, unmarried daughters, sons under 25 and children with special needs.
