# How we check the facts

Last reviewed 14 October 2026

Every number on Settle Anywhere comes from an official source, carries the date we checked it, and links to that source.

## Sources

We use immigration authorities, tax authorities, official gazettes and legislation. We don't use agencies, forums or paid listings as sources. When official pages disagree, the route stays off the site until the conflict is resolved.

## Checking

Each route and tax rule is researched against its official sources, then reviewed separately, with special attention to effective dates and amendments, because old official summaries often linger online.

## What we show and what we don't

- Money figures appear in the original currency, with an approximate US dollar figure from a daily reference rate.
- When a source doesn't state something, we leave it out instead of guessing.
- Visitor, transit and family routes, and permanent residence that takes years to reach, are left off the main lists because this site is about moving and staying.
- Routes are ordered by what they ask of you: those needing nothing external first, then business, then a local employer, then study.
- Tax rules are shown separately from visas, with their own conditions.

## Corrections

If something is wrong or out of date, email [contact@stayglobe.app](mailto:contact@stayglobe.app?subject=Correction) with a link to the official source. We review every report and record changes on the [changes page](https://settleanywhere.com/changes/).

## Coverage and updates

What we cover, by region, and how often we re-check it is on [About our data](https://settleanywhere.com/data/).

## What this site is

Settle Anywhere is general information, not legal, immigration or tax advice.
