## Tax

For newcomers, the records note that Romanian personal income tax is a flat rate under the Fiscal Code, and that residency rules are also in the Fiscal Code. Company taxation includes a microenterprise regime for small Romanian companies and a dividend tax on distributions. Foreign-source income is not addressed in these records, so its treatment depends on your residency status and the Fiscal Code; visas and tax are separate matters.

#### Exclusions
